Oct 2008 ParrotMedics
Our club put together our first series of ParrotMedics Feathered Friend First Aid kits at this month’s meeting. It was amazing how so many hands to get so many kits put together. We will start selling the kits at the Canadian Parrot Conference at the club table in the vendors area. Details will be posted at www.parrotmedics.ca. ALL proceeds will be donated to Avian Disease Research at the Ontario Veterinary College.

Sep 2008 Festival of Parrots
Our club held it’s first Festival of Parrots and everyone had a great time! A lot of our feathered friends went home with winning ribbons. There was lots of food, laughter, silliness and fun. We raised funds that will go towards conservation efforts of World Parrot Trust Canada through the Canadian Parrot Conference’s Pennies4Parrots challenge which was announced at the 2008 Canadian Parrot Conference. We plan to make the event even better next year!
