Invitation to all PARROT ENTHUSIASTS
….join us at the Golden Triangle Parrot Club!

With the high cost of printing and postage, not to mention the volunteer commitment to create a newsletter, we thought it might be more beneficial to discontinue the newsletter and use the money we save to contribute quality items to the monthly door prizes at our meetings.  We will continue to send out periodic notices about special events as we have in the past and for those of you who have the internet please visit our club website at www.gtpc.ca.

Please take the time to become actively involved in the GTPC forum. Post suggested topics and questions and get active with other club members! http://forum.gtpc.ca/index.php

2nd Annual Festival of Parrots & Potluck Picnic13 September 2009 01:00 PM
Our 1st Annual Pet Bird Show was a great success however we needed more time and space. Therefore, we are combining our September meeting, Annual Picnic and Festival of Parrots into one major event and moved it to Sunday, September 13th. The location for this year's event will be the CAW Hall (small school house) located at 611 Silvercreek Parkway in Guelph. A separate flyer will be mailed out with all the details including directions.

The picnic will be pot luck (club will provide drinks). Bring your feathered (and in some cases your “not so feathered”) friends and participate in this year’s Festival of Parrots. If last year was any indication we are definitely going to have a blast! There are lots of “unique” categories so everyone is sure to go home a winner. GTPC Award Ribbons are waiting for your FIDS. We will also have fun activities for owner and parrot alike with prizes for the winners. Don’t miss out on the fun. This year’s proceeds will be donated to the CPC’s Pennies 4 Parrots (www.pennies4parrots.ca) campaign (you can play games / get tickets tickets for as low as $0.01 to participate), so dig into your penny/coin jars and come armed and ready!

If you would like to volunteer to be a judge or help out at one the stations, please let us know.
